Recognize and produce the exclamation sentence, Be able to produce a sentence with a pronoun, a verb, and adjective, and a common noun .Be able to conjugate properly regular verbs in the present tense+ “ verb to be “and “verb to have”. History: the big inventions (means of transport and others) .
Geography: situate on the map the countries where the inventions took place, Sciences: the cycle of water, importance of plants on living things (Outing to the Royal Botanical Center) , recycling and protection of the earth ( Earth Day), maple syrup , understand the process of fabrication of the maple syrup

Computer: Be able to reproduce all the letter with accents by using the appropriate keys, be able to do research, manipulate copy , paste keys, insert images from Google to a word document
Math: understand the table of Pythagoras , using addition to get to multiplication ( table of 2 / 5 / 10), reading the clock , using the ruler to measure objects, classify , describe, identify and compare , the solids . Problem solving.
Art: create a poster related to the themes.

Theme: Canadafor vocabulary, history and geography .Use of appropriate vocabulary (country, province, territory). Reading more fluently and be able to orally present a book to the class and be able to present the 5 main ideas. Discriminate past, present and future tenses. Recognize the regular verb and the irregular verb. Be able to write a small paragraph in French. Distinguish between a noun, a pronoun, an adjective, and a verb. History: the group of seven
Geography: situate on the map the territories, the provinces and their capitals with the oceans surrounding Canada.
Sciences: the climate, the sources of energy, importance of water in our lives and on the environment.
Computer: Be able to use all parts of the computer, be able to print, to save a document and to work with Word.
Math: Problem solving, telling time, symmetries, numbers from 100 to 999, addition with carrying, compare and classify big numbers. Sept. - Dec. 2009
Theme: Pioneers, for vocabulary, history and geography - Use of appropriate vocabulary. Reading with eloquence, decipher unknown words. Discriminate the verb and the subject, conjugate verbs in –er, discriminate present and past tenses. Copy short texts with no spelling mistakes, correct one’s mistakes by using the rules. Numbers, grouping by tens and hundreds, understanding the value of figures in a number, addition table 1 to 9, add and subtract integer numbers, use a ruler in geometry and duplicate figures on a grid. Measure and compare objects according to their length, measure of a segment. Problem solving, choosing the right procedures and calculations. History : far away past and close past, historical vocabulary Geography: vocabulary of close environment. English: For the remainder of the term the Grade 2 students will be learning to further develop their paragraph writing skills. The focus will be on capitalization, end punctuation, sentence structure and paragraph structure. Time order words and the "Five W's" and "How" will help guide their writing. Students will be continuing to practice their reading and vocabulary development through mini-themed booklets like "Bubblegum" and the at home reading program. Library:Research skills: Using different online Encyclopedias to research Pioneers - Read Pioneer books - Reading Strategy: What do I do when I get to a word I do not know? In English we will continue to work on narrative writing using anti-bullying books. Music: Pioneer music with Orff accompaniment
